What it is

Frank Reitberger’s been on a tear lately. His Tinker series is a steady stream of WebGL and WebGPU experiments that each tackle something different. One day it’s flowing water with light caustics, the next it’s a shiny glass DNA strand spinning in space. They’re fast, focused builds, but there’s clearly a bigger picture forming: he’s demonstrating how to build complex visuals on the web in a foundational way. Instead of cramming logic into one-off shaders, Frank’s been carving out a modular shader toolkit using TSL, Three.js’s new node-based shading language. It’s clean, composable, and way more maintainable than raw GLSL.
