What it is

Samuel Honigstein (better known as Samsy in the creative tech community) showcases his Gen-02 portfolio at samsy.ninja. The site is an immersive 3D world where you literally navigate through interactive spaces to explore his projects. Think of it less as a traditional portfolio scroll and more like wandering through a digital gallery where each room reveals different work.

What makes this technically interesting is the stack underneath. Samsy built this with Vue.js orchestrating the interactions, GSAP handling the animations, and custom WebGPU doing the heavy lifting for those 3D environments. If you've read any of his Medium articles (he's written some killer deep dives on advanced Three.js techniques like instanced rendering and data textures), you know he's not just using WebGL/WebGPU, he's bending it to his will. It's experimental and interactive in all the right ways, which is probably why it snagged both an Awwwards Site of the Day and Developer Award in October 2025.

Samsy is based in Paris and has racked up 60+ awards over his career working on everything from Google Creative Lab projects to VR prototypes. You can find him on X/Twitter at @Samsyyyy, check out his code experiments on GitHub, or connect on LinkedIn. Definitely worth clicking around the site to see how he's structured the navigation and transitions between project spaces.
