Cubic Time! is essentially a quirky WebGL clock in 3D. Imagine watching the current time made out of a cluster of mini-cubes. It’s uses an orthographic view so the cubes never “shrink” with perspective along with a stark black‑and‑white palette, so it feels simultaneously retro and digital.
The creatives behind it are a Moscow shop called Dotorg and designer Maxim Shtok. Under the hood it’s a pretty straightforward WebGL/JS project. Each digit is really a grid of cubes whose faces have been painted to form numbers, and as time changes the cubes pivot to new orientations. It’s a neat lesson in using simple geometry creatively.
